Movie Mondays

It's now Monday night and I had a really cool idea this afternoon and have been writing down ideas all afternoon before I realised I should probably warn you guys. I have an idea for a new kind of trend, weekly post sort of things. (I am the queen of explanations I know.)

So I was thinking about movies and stuff and realised some really big plot holes in some of my favourite films. So I thought I should blog about it.

But of course I had more than one idea so I decided that I will make it a weekly things. Some weeks it'll be plot holes or random things I notice, other times it might be movie reviews or other movie related stuff. The title of this 'segment' (Can I call it that?) is still in the works but it will involve 'Movie' and 'Monday'.

So how does it sound? I will keep doing my random thought ones during the week as well so I won't just be movie obsessed...

Anyway...

Stay amazing.
Happy (Movie) Monday. (Cause apparently I'm making this a thing.)

The Joys of Summer

I think that there is a misconception about the idea of summer. People often think of it as fun at the beach, barbecues, holidays, hanging out with friends, going swimming... When really it's really just, heat, sun and sunburn then, if your luck, maybe, a tan.

Call me pessimistic or a crazed lunatic for being out in the sun all day and having minor heat stroke but hey, who cares.

*** THE NEXT DAY***

Yesterday I had my annual swimming carnival and it was an absolutely GREAT day. I swam in 2 competitive races and the participation swims. I also got to spend the whole day taking photos for our school magazine.

Wondering why I was such a pessimist afterwards. Well sunscreen works against sunburn, not so much dehydration. It turns out I hadn't had enough water during the day and I was a little bit pink on the cheeks and shoulders. Hello, heatstroke.

For those who have not experienced it. It's not fun. I came home, showered, gulped down three glasses of water and just stayed on my bed with my laptop until dinner, and even then I didn't want to get up.

But I've pretty much just whined this whole post and now I feel like I shouldn't publish it but, I'm going to anyway and I hope you all have a great weekend.

Happy Friday. (TGIF)

Awkward Teenage Moments

I probably didn't really know the definition of awkward until recently. Sure, I'd experienced awkward silences and being caught on things you thought no one would remember and one of the worst, sex education. (With a creepy teacher, just to make things worse.)

But nothings tops it just like having to talk one on one to your PE teacher about teenagers having sex under the age of 16.

We are currently studying 'Power in Relationships' in PDHPE and we had to do an activity on 'active listening'. We basically sat in two circles, one inner, one outer and the person on the outside would have to speak about a chosen topic for a minute while the people on the inside tried to be active listeners. We would switch around between who we were sitting with and who was talking and I just happened to be lucky enough to be partnered with my teacher when this particular topic came up. I suppose I had it okay actually. I have a pretty great PE teacher (not the creepy one) and it would've been much more awkward if it had been say, one of the popular boys... or I had been talking.

Apparently, I was a good active listener, and he made sure to tell the whole class about it. Apparently I kept a straight face the entire time and only went bright red when he started talking about me in front of the class. (WHY!)

But I felt like I should share that little bit of information with you. Tell me if you can beat that bit of embarrassing info.

Buh Bye. Happy Tuesday.
